"Toriichi" stands quietly in a back alley in Tanukikoji 1-chome, Sapporo. We never compromise in our pursuit of our mission: to serve a course featuring the finest yakitori, each piece crafted with meticulous care and skill.

The star of the show is fresh, locally sourced chicken delivered directly from the farm. Our chefs meticulously skewer the meat after carefully assessing the grain and moisture content of each cut, then expertly adjust the cooking time for each cut over charcoal flames exceeding 1,000 degrees. Through their extraordinary skill—controlling heat levels down to the second—they create a surface that’s beautifully charred while locking in the meat’s rich, savory juices to the absolute maximum. From the appetizers to the final course, every dish is imbued with the chefs’ aesthetic sensibility and meticulous craftsmanship.
